Brian’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of our controls offices in Lexington, KY; Louisville, KY; Evansville, IN; and Memphis, TN. He oversees all aspects of the MidSouth offices, including maintaining customer relationships, assisting with business development, and working with the Executive Vice President of the controls division on strategic planning initiatives. 

Expertise

Brian has been in the building automation and controls business for more than 35 years. His building automation career began at Johnson Controls, where he worked in the central region office in Cleveland, OH, and with the technical controls group in Lexington. 

Brian left Johnson Controls to create and lead his own business ventures in the building automation industry, specializing in installation, service, and energy management. Through his leadership, the businesses would expand and merge with competitors to form InnerSpace Strategies, which was the authorized dealer for Automated Logic Corporation in Kentucky, western Tennessee, and northern Mississippi. EMCOR would go on to purchase this company, forming EMCOR Services Automated Controls.

Due to his previous entrepreneurial experience, Brian brings a small business owner’s perspective to the projects and customers in his area. He holds an associate’s degree in electronic engineering technology from the Electronic Technology Institute in Cleveland. 

The Personal Side

Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, four daughters, two grandsons, and two dogs. He likes classic cars, golfing, tailgating at University of Kentucky football games, and RVing.
