E.J.’s role is to develop and implement engineering practice standards across multiple regions while continuing to build the team’s infrastructure in all offices. He does this by establishing consistent design standards, improving documentation quality, and helping to ensure that engineering outputs align with the company’s operational and sales goals. The engineering team’s growth comes from empowering senior engineers in several offices and promoting team collaboration throughout the company.

Expertise

E.J. is an experienced building automation and controls engineering leader with over three decades of experience in building automation systems (BAS) design, HVAC controls engineering, and hardware standards development. 

He has successfully led and mentored several engineering teams, managing large and complex designs for healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial facilities.

The Personal Side

He enjoys spending time with his daughter, his late wife’s family, and their pets. Soulful conversations with friends at the local coffee shop or a new restaurant, and puttering about on weekends in the garage on small projects, are some of his pastimes. E.J. is also a member of a few community fellowships that help others.
